Now I admit, today’s video went a little longer than expected.
In fact it really could have gone a lot longer if I felt that it was necessary.
It is and it’s not all at the same time.

So let me start this out by asking this:
When you start connecting with people, HOW are you connecting?
Are you connecting to try to sell right away, or are you connecting to ACTUALLY CONNECT?
I think that we in the Social Media Space forget sometimes that there are real people that are on the other side of the screen.
It feels like everyone is in such a rush to get to the sale, push the product, have people join their business that they forget the art of connecting.
I CANNOT TELL YOU how many times people will see my post somewhere and immediately either just boldly send me a link, or ask if i’d like to be apart of their opportunity.
However, let me emphasize, that sending an unsolicited link is bad business.
Let me show you this type of conversation and see if this is something that you have received or have done yourself:
Person: Hi, Joelyn! I’ve seen you in Group A. I think that I have a business you would be interested in. (and they either end with one of two phrases)
End Phrase A: Let me send you the video! You’ll love it!
End Phrase B: Here’s the Link (www.iprobablydontmeantolooklikeimdesparatebutiam.com)
Me: While I appreciate that you thought of me for this offer, I don’t like to get married on the first date.
Guys, I talk about it in my Facebook Live, but doing scenarios just like the one above, can be an automatic death sentence to you and your business.
I can say that I have only seen an incredibly small amount of people actually pull that off, but 99% of the time…
It’s horrible. So stop it.
You should thoroughly vet the people that you want to go into business with. These people are responsible for your future success. They may look great on paper but not be cut out to be a leader in your business. Don’t fall for some random Joe somewhere because they look awesome on Social Media.
